How to Reset the Service Light of the Jaguar XE

Let's see the procedure to reset the service light of the Jaguar XE: the method is valid for all models around 2016. Get in the car, open the bonnet, and open the door on the driver's side. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine. Now that the bonnet and driver's side door are open and the instrument cluster is on, press the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal simultaneously and hold them down for 10 seconds. Release them at the same time. Turn off the ignition and turn it back on, then start the engine. The service message should have disappeared. The combination of all these signals (bonnet and door open + pedals pressed) is a signal to the ECU that a technician is performing maintenance, thus allowing the reset of the indicator.
