Replacing Front Discs and Pads

Model: Jaguar Xf MK 1 - Years 2008-2015

Start by lifting the vehicle on suitable axle stands and removing the front wheel; then remove the plastic caps protecting the fastening bolts of the brake caliper and unscrew them to remove the caliper, extract the old pads, and disconnect the wear sensor; next, remove the caliper bracket to take the disc off the hub; clean the disc seat on the hub and apply grease, remove any protective oil residue from the new disc and fit it onto the hub, install the caliper bracket and retract the caliper piston using a C-clamp; then insert the new pads and reinstall the caliper, paying attention during the first braking.
