How to Replace the Engine Oil and Oil Filter in the Jeep Renegade

Today, you will learn how to replace the engine oil and oil filter in a Jeep Renegade. Before performing the oil change, it is important to pour an oil additive into the oil reservoir. This helps facilitate the removal of all oil residues during the draining from the oil sump. Pour the additive with the engine off, close the reservoir cap, and start the vehicle, allowing the engine to run for a few minutes. Turn off the engine and let the additive work. Then, lift the vehicle on axle stands and remove the oil sump plug to drain the used oil into a container. Once the oil has completely drained, close the sump plug. Remove the oil filter for replacement; it is advisable to also replace the filter gasket during this procedure. After the replacement, lower the vehicle and open the oil cap to pour in the new oil; the recommended quantity is 5 litres. After completing this procedure, it is important to reset the mileage for the next oil change. To do this, get inside the vehicle, access the maintenance section, and hold down the BC button to start the reset process.
