How to Open the Remote of a Jeep Grand Cherokee

Is the remote battery of your Jeep Grand Cherokee flat? Here’s how to open it to replace the battery. Take the Grand Cherokee remote and, using a screwdriver, pry between the two parts of the plastic key cover. Pry until you separate the two parts of the remote (without breaking them). Remove the worn battery, take a new one of the same size and voltage. Rejoin the two parts of the remote cover by pressing them together until you hear a click. Check the proper functioning of the Grand Cherokee remote key by operating the buttons.
