How to change the battery in the Jeep Grand Cherokee remote control

On the Jeep Grand Cherokee, when the remote control starts to lose range or indicates a low battery, you can replace the battery in a few minutes. Work with the vehicle stationary and the remote dry, resting on a stable surface. Remove the emergency key from the Jeep Grand Cherokee remote and locate the seam of the shell: insert the key (or a plastic tool) at the leverage point and gently twist until the two halves begin to separate, without forcing to avoid breaking the clips. With the shell open, remove the old battery and insert the new CR2032, ensuring the polarity indicated in the compartment is respected; make sure it is seated correctly. Close the Jeep Grand Cherokee remote by pressing the two halves together until they click and reinsert the emergency key. Finally, check that the opening/closing and remote functions respond correctly.
