How to Replace the Battery in a Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee Key Fob

To replace the battery in a Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee key fob, first obtain a new compatible battery. Take the key and extract the emergency blade by pressing the button located on the back of the fob. Using a thin but sturdy tool, open the fob by levering in the visible slot. Proceed to remove the circuit board and battery; then simply pull out the old battery and replace it with the new one. Refit the circuit board into the fob and close it by applying light pressure until you hear a click.
