Replace the engine oil in a Jeep Patriot? Lift the car to change the engine oil and oil filter. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the bolt from the oil sump. Drain the fluid into a disposal container and refit the bolt of the oil sump. After removing the oil from the engine, unscrew the filter located next to the drain bolt. Lower the car to the ground and lift the bonnet, securing it. Top up the engine with new oil. Check the oil level with the dipstick until it reaches the ideal measurement. Start the vehicle and check the engine operation.
