How to Replace the Key Battery of a Jeep Grand Cherokee

Model: Jeep Cherokee KL, MK 5 - Years 2013-2023

Start by removing the internal emergency key by pressing the button located at the top of the electronic key. Once you have removed the emergency key, proceed to open the electronic key in two parts using a small flathead screwdriver and prying it apart. This will give you access to the exhausted battery, which you can simply pull out to complete the disassembly. At this point, to install the new battery and close the electronic key, simply follow these instructions in reverse, and you will have completed the replacement.
