In this video, we can see how to open the rear hatch that is stuck on a Jeep Cherokee XJ: this is a problem that unfortunately occurs frequently on this model. It is a adjustment issue that can be resolved, but the problem is: how do we get inside to fix it? We have to enter through the rear door, fold down the seat, and as we can see from the video, all the plastic on the hatch from the inside makes it impossible for us to reach the lock. So, carefully, we take the inner lining from the end of the rear window and pull it towards us. This will give us access to the opening mechanism, where we will need to move the white plastic lock that is stuck, moving it to the left and then upwards: this way we have unlocked the hatch, opened it, removed all the plastic parts, and made the necessary adjustments.
