Disabling the passenger airbag of the Kia Sportage 3.

In the need to install a child seat to transport a child on the front passenger seat, it is expected that the airbag will be deactivated to prevent the opening of the protection cushions from causing harm to the child. To proceed with the deactivation, we open the passenger door in the side section of the dashboard, where we will find a selector. We take the remote control that opens and closes the doors, we release the metal blade and insert it into the selector, rotate it counterclockwise to the off position. A light on the dashboard will confirm the deactivation; to reactivate it, we return the selector to on.
