If we want to install a child seat on the front seat of the Kia Sportage, we must deactivate the passenger airbag, which if activated in case of an accident will come into contact with the child seat, causing serious damage. To deactivate the airbag, we must insert the key into the lock located on the right side of the dashboard; by inserting the key and turning it half a turn, the airbag will deactivate. Throughout the car journey, the light will indicate the deactivation of the system with a red light. To reactivate the system after removing the child seat, we must insert the key and turn it half a turn.
