How to Change the Engine Oil in a Kia Sorento

To change the engine oil in a Kia Sorento, park the vehicle on a level surface and, if possible, wait until it is slightly warm to aid in draining the lubricant. Safely lift the car and place a collection tray under the oil sump. Remove the filler cap in the engine bay and unscrew the drain bolt located at the bottom of the sump, allowing the used oil to drain completely. Once drained, refit the bolt, checking the condition of the seal. Pour the new oil through the top opening, adhering to the quantity specified for the engine. Check the level with the dipstick and adjust if necessary. Start the engine for a moment, then turn it off and recheck the level, ensuring there are no leaks around the drain bolt.
