How to Reset the Service Light on a Kia Niro

To reset the service light on a Kia Niro, you need to turn on the instrument cluster without starting the engine or put the vehicle in ON mode. Using the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel, access the Settings menu, then select Vehicle and subsequently Maintenance Interval. Within this screen, choose the Reset option, then confirm the operation when prompted by the system. The maintenance counter is thus reset to its initial values, and the service reminder is cleared. Finally, simply switch off and switch on the instrument cluster to verify that the service light is no longer displayed and that the new maintenance interval has been correctly stored.
