Replacing Gearbox Oil

Model: Kia Rio DC, MK 1 - Years 2000-2005

Lift the vehicle on the ramp. Unscrew the oil cap located on the gearbox sump and let it drain into a suitable container. Add the flushing additive and, using the appropriate equipment, carry out a thorough complete wash and then let it drain. Suck out all the remaining fluid in the gearbox for perfect cleaning. Screw the oil cap back onto the sump, replacing the gasket, lower the vehicle to the ground, and top up with the correct amount of the appropriate oil. Conduct a road test with the vehicle to check the proper functioning of gear engagement.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
