Kia Sportage - Video tutorial

Model: Kia Sportage MK 1, JA - Years 1993-2002
Part: Alternator
Operation: Alternator belt replacement

The alternator is located in the front right part of the engine compartment (looking from the front), near the engine oil level stick: to access it, remove the air intake conveyor located immediately above the radiator. Once the alternator has been intercepted, it is sufficient to loosen the adjustment screws to loosen the tension of the belt and to be able to remove it. Then apply the new belt, checking its correct length and tension it with the appropriate adjustment screws: an incorrect tension would tend to make the belt slip.
