Removing the Battery and Wiper Motor Assembly

Model: Kia Sportage JA, MK 1 - Years 1993-2002

To begin, open the front bonnet. Next, unscrew the screws securing the engine cover. Remove the battery by unscrewing the retaining nut and taking off the battery hold-down plate. Pull the battery out of its housing using the designated handles. Unscrew the retaining nuts of the wiper motor and disconnect it from its position by removing the connector. Lift the wiper cover, unscrew the retaining nut, and remove it from its location. Unscrew the screws of the external air intake grille and take it off. Unscrew the retaining screws of the wiper arm and remove it.
