How to Replace Your Car's Brake Discs

The following guide shows how to best replace your car's brake discs. The braking system is of utmost importance to ensure that the vehicle always maintains excellent efficiency. The replacement procedure can be carried out independently without the help of a mechanic, as long as you have a good level of manual dexterity. First, lift the car with the jack and remove the wheel after taking off the wheel bolts. Then, take an Allen key and undo all the bolts on the back that secure the caliper to the frame. Once this is done, only the caliper bracket with the brake pads inside will remain. These should be removed using a suitable flat screwdriver, taking care not to damage the disc. Next, undo the bolts that secure the bracket to the hub. At this point, only the brake disc will remain, which will need to be replaced.
