Guide to the Kia Tyre Repair Kit

In this video, learn how to use the Kia tyre repair kit: this replaces the spare wheel in case a tyre punctures, and there is no need to use a jack. The puncture must not exceed 4 mm and should not affect the sidewall of the tyre. Park the vehicle in a safe location and turn on the hazard lights. The kit is located under the boot cover and consists of a compressor and a sealant container: on the back of the compressor, there is a cable to connect to the 12-volt socket inside the vehicle. Connect the compressor cable to the tyre valve and the hose to the sealant canister, then take the extension and connect it to the power socket. Run it for 5 to 7 minutes: if it does not inflate in this time, the puncture is too large to be repaired with this method. When it reaches the desired pressure, disconnect the compressor and close the valve. Drive at 50 mph for about 10 minutes and then check the pressure again. Go to an authorised repairer as soon as possible. You can drive a maximum of about 124 miles with a tyre repaired using this system, and never exceed 50 mph.
