Replacing the fuel filter in your car is a simple and quick operation that can save you the cost of a mechanic. After lifting the bonnet, unscrew the 4 bolts of the panel covering the engine and set it aside. The filter is located at the top right of the engine. Carefully remove the hoses connected to it and then unscrew the bolts that secure it, also disconnect the connectors. Now, we can work on the filter separately. By removing the cap underneath, you will drain the remaining fuel from the filter, so prepare a container to hold the fuel. Now, using a sufficiently large or specific key, unscrew the entire filter from underneath, clean it with a cloth, and re-screw the new filter. Now retrace all the steps in reverse.
