When the key of the Kia Sportage stops working, it means that the key battery needs to be replaced. To perform this operation, we simply need to lift the key as if we were going to start the engine and insert a screwdriver or a card on the right side of the remote control to pry it open. Remove and insert a new battery. Close the casing and test the key's operation by bringing it near the vehicle. If the problem persists, the cause may lie in the central locking fuse or in the key itself, which may need to be reprogrammed.
