In this video, you will learn how to replace the oil and filters on your KTM 400 EXC. First, remove the plastic cover protecting the sump. Undo the bolt to drain all the engine oil into a container. While the oil drains, remove the side cover of the casing and unscrew the two filter covers at the front (just undo the two bolts). Take out the filters, clean the seating area thoroughly with a cloth, insert the new filters, and refit the casing cover. Now, replace the drain plug, reattach the plastic cover, and pour in the new oil through the upper plug.
