Using a small flat screwdriver, lift and remove the small part of the footrest near the seat. Unscrew the bolt for the negative terminal (always the negative terminal first) and then the one for the positive terminal. Voila! Done. At this point, you can extract the small battery. Insert the new battery into the holder and connect the terminals in reverse order of removal. First, screw in the positive terminal and then the negative terminal bolt. Refit the plastic cover of the footrest by simply pushing it back into place and securing the clips.
