Removing the Central Dashboard Console

Model: Lexus IS MK 1 - Years 1998-2005

First, shift the gear lever backwards to facilitate the removal and extraction of the console. Unclip and pull out the switch panel located just below the monitor, pulling it forward, and disconnect the relevant connectors. Similarly, unclip the glove compartment with the air vents located above the radio. At this point, unscrew the four fixing screws of the central console for the climate control and monitor (both upper and lower screws) to extract it from its housing, subsequently disconnecting the connectors attached to it.
