Replacing the Thermostat

It is advisable to carry out this repair with the engine cold as you will be dealing with the engine coolant; start by draining the coolant from the radiator drain plug, disconnect the hose from the manifold where the thermostat is integrated, then remove the manifold and extract the old thermostat, applying the new one with the corresponding gasket; reassemble everything, refill the cooling system with the specific coolant to the required level, and start the engine until it reaches operating temperature, checking the opening of the new thermostat; recheck the coolant level and bleed any air if necessary.
