How do you replace the car stereo on your Lexus IS?

To be able to replace the Lexus IS car radio you have to pry with an object, so that you can detach the protection panel located at the base of the central tunnel: below you will find some screws that must be loosened. Once these screws have been removed, it will be possible to pry the top of the central panel so that the vents are also extracted. At this point it will be possible to unscrew the screws which fix the car radio to its housing, extracting it and disconnecting the connectors in the rear part. To these it will be necessary to connect the new radio, assembling all the parts previously removed.

Use a lever to pry off the handle cover (remove the piece), then, with a screwdriver, unscrew the fastening screws in the handle inside the door panel. Unscrew the screws located in the plastic of the door opening lever. Use the lever to detach the retaining clips around the perimeter of the door panel. Finally, grasp the panel with your hands and lever it off the door. Disconnect the cable from the door opening lever and the power connectors for the window switch.
