To perform an oil change on a Lexus ES300, we first need to safely lift it using a jack, relying on it rather than trusting our own car jack too much. First, remove the inspection cap located in the lower casing of the vehicle, held by 4 screws. Use a 14mm wrench to remove the cap from the oil pan and let it drain into a designated container, which we will dispose of at an authorized center. Next to the oil pan, the filter is visible, which we remove using the appropriate wrench. The filter will also release some oil, so let it drain into the container along with the oil from the pan. Replace the filter with a new one. Put the cap back on the oil pan, making sure to change the gasket for safety. Clean any oil residue and put the inspection cap back in place. Now it's time to refill the oil from the top with 4.8 liters (including the filter) of synthetic SAE 0W16 oil. Start the engine at low RPM to circulate the oil. To reset the indicator, go to Menu settings; Vehicle settings, press ok; go to "oil maintenance"; always confirm, even when prompted to "reset data". You can turn off the ignition. The oil change kit costs around 100 euros on major e-commerce sites.
