After purchasing a new battery with the same specifications, extract the emergency key and use it to pry open the back of the remote to remove the cover. This will give you access to the compartment containing the battery, which you can remove with a sharp object and replace with the new one. Then, reattach the back cover and place the emergency key back inside.
