Using a screwdriver, open the battery compartment of the scooter. Once done, remove the elastic strap. If you plan to leave the scooter unused for more than twenty days, unscrew the negative terminal of the battery to stop current absorption. Optionally, place a rubber cover on the negative terminal and unscrew the positive one as well. If you are unsure how long you won't be using the scooter, connect the battery to a battery maintainer using crocodile clips. Battery maintainers are readily available and inexpensive. With these simple tips, the battery of your scooter will last much longer.
