In this short and simple guide, we will see how to adjust the handbrake lever of the Maruti Alto and Suzuki Alto. First of all, we get into the car and start by removing the plastic cover of the handbrake in order to access the handbrake cables; then we adjust it by pulling the cable and tightening the appropriate nut, as shown in the video. At this point, we check the handbrake lever travel by performing various tests until we achieve the optimal result; we also check that the rear brake pads or shoes are in good condition.
