Lift the car with a lift or hydraulic jack and place safety jack stands; position a container for the used oil under the vehicle and unscrew the drain plug; wait for all the oil to drain into the container, and while it finishes dripping, unscrew the filter cartridge with the appropriate wrench; replace the old filter and install the new filter along with new seals for the filter housing. Next, screw in the oil drain plug under the vehicle and lower the vehicle. Refill with engine oil (5W-30), about 3.5 quarts. Perform the service light reset.
