Installing a Short Gear Lever

Using your hands, lever at the base of the tunnel to unclip the plastic clips of the cover around the handbrake lever to remove it. Remove the screws at the bottom of the tunnel and the glove compartment, then again using your hands, lever at the base of the tunnel to detach it and disconnect all connectors by unscrewing the retaining screws from the housing.

Now you can remove the entire tunnel.

Unscrew the screws at the base of the gear lever using an electric screwdriver. Remove the gear linkage, taking care to note its initial position.

Replace the lever with the shorter one and reassemble the mechanism.
