To reset the service light on a Mazda 6, get into the vehicle and turn on the instrument panel and multimedia system without starting the engine. Use the central knob of the Mazda Connect system to enter the 'Applications' menu, then select 'Vehicle Status Monitor'. Next, access the section dedicated to scheduled maintenance or oil change.

Once the service screen is displayed, choose the maintenance interval reset option and confirm the operation. When finished, turn off the instrument panel and turn it back on to check that the service light has been correctly cleared from the vehicle's display.
