How to Reset the Infotainment System on a Mazda 6

To reset the infotainment system of the Mazda 6, there are three types of resets: the first is a soft reset: simply hold down the button for 5/10 seconds and the system will restart without deleting data. This is used for minor freezes or unresponsive screens. The second is a forced restart (hard reset): hold down the "power + volume" button for 10 seconds: this clears the system cache but not user data. The third method is the "factory reset": this returns the settings to factory defaults, deleting all personal settings. From the menu "settings/vehicle system/factory reset", this is the last resort before going to the garage.
