Let's see how to replace the alternator belt on a 2009 Mazda 2. To start, open the front bonnet and secure the hatch with the safety rod. Proceed to remove the plastic panel covering the belt: this allows you to see the tensioner that you now need to loosen. At this point, simply extract the old worn alternator belt and position the new one in its place. Complete the replacement by tensioning the belt and reinstalling the protective panel that you previously removed.
