To reset the maintenance light on the Mazda CX-5, turn on the ignition and keep the vehicle stationary and secure. Enter the Mazda Connect system and use the controller on the centre console, rotating and pressing it to scroll and select menu items.

From the main menu, open the vehicle status monitor section and navigate to the alerts guide, then enter the page dedicated to maintenance. Within the Maintenance screen, locate the reset option associated with maintenance or oil life/interval settings, and select the reset.

When the confirmation request appears, confirm the operation to store the new reference. If the warning reappears immediately after, avoid repeating the reset randomly: check for any other active warnings and ensure that the maintenance interval and oil life are set correctly, as the reset does not resolve any real issues but merely clears the reminder alert.
