Removal of the Starter Motor

Model: Mazda 6 GH, MK 2 - Years 2008-2012

Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and move the cable away. Remove the air box and connection hoses, placing them on their side to access the starter motor. Lift the vehicle on a ramp and begin unscrewing the screws at the bottom, then lower the vehicle and proceed from the bonnet with those at the top. Disconnect the power cable. Once the starter motor is free from its supports, detach it and pull it upwards to extract it from its housing. This operation is challenging and requires the removal of some components to create the necessary space for extraction. After removing the faulty alternator, proceed with the reverse operations to replace it with the new component.
