In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the starter motor in a Mazda 2, a very simple and quick operation. Before proceeding, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to work safely.

Start by going underneath the vehicle, then locate the two mounting bolts of the starter motor and unscrew them using a 12mm socket. Next, remove the indicated small bracket, unscrew the nuts of the power terminals with a 13mm socket, and separate the starter motor from the support.

At this point, you can position the replacement and follow the reverse procedure.
