In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the starter motor on a Mazda 2, a simple operation but one that requires good manual skills. First, open the bonnet, then disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to work safely.

Next, lift the front of the vehicle, undo the indicated bolt with a 12 mm socket, and go underneath the engine, where you can disconnect the power leads from the starter motor. At this point, simply undo the second securing bolt, remove the starter motor, and fit the replacement.
