Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: Mazda Mx 5 NB, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005

Open the front bonnet, unscrew the oil filler cap, and pull out the dipstick (this will aid in draining the used oil).
Lift the vehicle on suitable car stands to facilitate access to the oil sump, position a container of appropriate capacity, and unscrew the drain plug located on the side at the rear; once the draining is complete, re-screw the plug. Next, replace the oil filter located on the side of the engine; coat the gasket of the new filter with oil before screwing it in. Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the SAE specifications and the quantities indicated in the user and maintenance manual.
