Instructions for Changing the Oil and Oil Filter

Model: Mazda 3 MK 2, BL - Years 2009-2013

To change the oil, first lift the car while observing all safety regulations. Get a container to collect the oil and unscrew the drain plug as shown in the images. Use rags or pieces of cardboard to prevent oil from spilling onto the chassis or other mechanical parts. Once the oil has drained, re-screw the plug and start unscrewing the filter, always being careful to contain any oil that spills out. Always compare the two components to ensure they are identical and coat the gasket of the new filter with a bit of oil. Now screw in the new filter by hand without using any tools. Remove the cap and use a funnel to pour some new oil into the engine. Start the engine for a few minutes, and after turning it off, check the level on the dipstick, adding more oil if necessary until the predetermined level is reached. Car model: Mazda 3 Year: 2003-14.
