When the vehicle starts to age and the gas struts that hold the rear hatch open become weak, you can solve the problem using two aluminum profiles measuring 20 mm by 20 mm, cut to a length of 8.5 in. Then, get a piece of plastic with one side adhesive and cut small squares measuring 0.8 in x 0.8 in to place at the ends of the aluminum profile. At this point, try opening the hatch and position them on the strut shaft; this way, the hatch will stay open securely.
