Front Drop Link Replacement

Model: Mazda 6 GG, MK 1 - Years 2002-2008

The front stabiliser bar is connected to the suspension wishbone via the so-called drop link, which is a rod equipped with a spherical joint attached to the eye of the stabiliser bar and a bush with a damper (silent block) fixed to the suspension wishbone. Replacing the drop link requires lifting the vehicle on a ramp, then removing the fixing nut of the ball joint to the stabiliser bar while keeping the ball joint shaft fixed with a hex insert. Next, remove the pin from the wishbone and use a lever to facilitate the extraction of the old drop link and the insertion of the new one, securing it by reversing the process.
