How to Replace the Rear Brake Discs and Pads

Model: Mazda 3 BK, MK 1 - Years 2003-2009
Part: Brake rotors

Place the car on a ramp and lift it to a comfortable height for working. Remove the rear wheel. Take off the brake caliper retaining clip and unscrew the two bolts that hold it in place. Now extract the two pads from their housing. Unscrew the other two bolts to remove the caliper bracket and the disc from its position. After cleaning and lubricating the wheel bolts, insert the new disc. Clean the bolts and refit the caliper bracket. Insert the new pads into their housing and mount the brake calipers. Now perform the same operations in reverse order. The maintenance operations shown in the images are performed on a Mazda 3.
