Engine Oil Replacement and Maintenance

Regular maintenance of your car is the secret to miraculously extending the lifespan of your engine in miles. Discover how to perform it yourself without wasting time and money at a garage with this simple guide. Lift the bonnet and check the engine oil level using the dipstick located on the engine cover. Now, slightly lift the car and unscrew the sump plug located underneath the engine to drain the used oil. Once the oil has drained, begin unscrewing the oil filter plug, which is also located near the sump. Replace it by filling the new oil filter before screwing it back into its housing. Now refit the sump plug and fill the engine oil reservoir with the new oil.
