How to Change the Engine Oil in a Mazda 3

To change the engine oil in a Mazda 3, park the vehicle on a flat surface and safely lift it to access the underside of the engine. Place a container under the oil sump and unscrew the filler cap in the engine bay. Then, remove the drain plug located at the bottom of the sump and allow the used oil to completely drain out. Once draining is complete, reinstall the drain plug, ensuring the seal is in good condition. Pour the new engine oil through the filler neck using the quantity specified for the installed engine. Check the level with the dipstick and add oil if necessary. Start the engine for a few seconds, turn it off, and recheck the oil level, ensuring there are no leaks around the drain plug.
