How to Change Oil, Oil Filter, and Spark Plugs on a Mazda 3

Model: Mazda 3 BK, MK 1 - Years 2003-2009

In this video, see how to change the oil, oil filter, and spark plugs on a Mazda 3. The Mazda 3 is undersealed at the bottom, so you need to remove the protection to access the oil drain plug: in fact, the protection is held on by 6 bolts, which can be easily removed, especially if you find a way to safely lift the vehicle a bit. At this point, you can easily find the oil drain plug and place a suitable container underneath to dispose of the used oil at an authorised centre. Meanwhile, change the spark plugs: remove the coil, and with an 8 mm socket, remove the spark plugs, replacing them while being careful not to drop them into the engine as it is really difficult to retrieve them. Meanwhile, all the oil has drained out. Also change the filter, moving the container underneath it, as it will also lose a bit of oil. When changing the filter, always change the O-ring on the plug, ensuring to lubricate it with new oil first. After closing the plug, you can top up the oil through the upper plug. You will need about 5 litres of synthetic oil SAE 5W30.
