Replacing the remote control battery of the Mazda CX5

Over time and with use, the battery of the remote control that opens the doors of the Mazda CX5 will deplete, and you will need to replace it with a new one. Extract the emergency key and use a small screwdriver to pry open the edge of the shell. This gives you access to the battery compartment cover, which, when removed, allows you to take out the old depleted battery.

Replace it with a new CR2025, ensuring the positive terminal is facing up. Refit the cover and snap the shell back together, then insert the emergency key into its housing.
