How to Replace the Key Fob Battery on the Mazda CX-5

The battery in the key fob that opens the doors of the Mazda CX-5 will eventually run out and needs replacing. On the side of the keyring, you will find a small sliding button that allows you to open one of the two halves of the fob. Once opened, use a flathead screwdriver to remove the silver frame. With the screwdriver, remove the shell with the logo, which protects the battery compartment. Take off the round cover and replace the old battery with a new CR2032, ensuring correct polarity. Refit the cover, the shell with the logo, the silver frame, and the back shell.
