The spare wheel kit and jack for a Mazda 3 are provided, for a small additional cost, and are located inside the boot. In case of necessity, follow these steps: - Park the car on level ground, engage the handbrake, and put it in reverse; - Wear a high-visibility jacket and activate the hazard lights, exit the vehicle, and place the warning triangle to alert other drivers of your presence; - Use the jack to remove the wheel trims; - Loosen the nuts and lift the vehicle with the jack; - Remove the nuts and the wheel; - Place the wheel under the vehicle and fit the spare wheel in place of the flat tyre; - Tighten the nuts and remove the jack; Store the flat tyre and the rim in the boot.

How to Adjust the Handbrake on a BMW 1 Series?

To adjust the handbrake on a BMW 1 Series, use a tool to pry off the leather cover that wraps around the base of the handbrake lever. Once this cover is removed, you will be able to locate the spring that regulates the handbrake tension. At this point, adjust the nut located at the base of the spring: tightening the nut will make the handbrake firmer and reduce the lever's travel. Conversely, loosening the nut will decrease the handbrake's firmness and increase the lever's travel.
