In order to remove the central tunnel of the Mercedes C-Class, you need to use an object to pry it open, so that all the panels covering it can be detached: once the panel around the gear lever has been removed, the screws underneath must be unscrewed so that the front control panel can also be released. Once this panel has been removed from its position, the connectors inside can be disconnected and the central tunnel can be completely removed: all the new components can then be inserted and securely fastened.
